IN MALAYSIA

We wrote our last newsletter from Jahor Bahru. We went from there to the Batu Batu Island for a short time where we are working on plans to develop a new Apostolic Training Center. The development of this beautiful private island off the Southeast coast of Malaysia is being done by our dear friend, Chua Jui Leng, who together with his family are the owners of the island. This new Batu Batu Resort and Spa is being developed as a five-star Boutique Resort where we are planning five two-week apostolic training seminars each year. The development of this beautiful tropical island with palm trees and white sand beaches is progressing nicely with plans for completion the latter part of next year.

BEIRUT, LEBANON

How exciting it was for Joyce and I to arrive in Beirut, Lebanon, for the first time. Everywhere we went in Beirut we found buildings being restored to beauty. However, there were still many buildings where you could see the almost continuous pit holes from  exploding bombs and shrapnel from their horrible civil war.

Pastor Kevork Tchaparian heads the Spring of Life Ministries and is the coordinator in that area for the International School of Ministry. We joined him for eight nights of revival meetings, and during the day were privileged to teach the leaders in that ministry.

Because many had already been through our ten hours of teaching on Supernatural Living through the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, they wel­comed us with great antici­pation and expectancy of the healing miracles that were to take place during these exciting days.

We found an excited, vibrant group of believers of all ages who are all ready to take the gospel to their nations and beyond.

THE TRAINING SESSIONS

During the weekday mornings, the believers came alive as we taught the foundational truths of God’s Word about how to live and minister in the Spirit. On the last day, we ended by having them hold hands as they stood in front of their seats to receive an impartation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. And as

Joyce and I passed up the aisles touching the persons on the end seats, row after row was slain under the power of God. The excitement was overwhelming.

THE HEALING REVIVAL

In 1 Week, 83 People Received Salvation

During the eight-night “Healing Revival,” about two-hundred and seventy people packed into the church auditorium and out into the hallways, and stairs.  Others were watching by closed-circuit tele­vision in overflow areas, and the meetings were “live-streamed” on the Internet. People’s lives were touched by the power of God! A person in Canada e-mailed reporting a healing miracle while watching by Internet. Every night the atmosphere was supercharged with the power and presence of God. So many exciting miracles took place as words of knowledge were called out that it was impossible to get all the testimonies.

During these meetings as God confirmed His Word with signs and wonders and healing miracles, eighty-three people were born into the Kingdom of God. There were a total of three hundred and thirty-five first time visitors, and many of these were healed, saved, and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

In one meeting, the whole front of the auditorium was packed with people receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I called out by word of knowledge three people who had pain in their bodies. Then I had three different people who had just received the baptism in the Holy Spirit come and lay hands on them. All three were instantly healed by the power of God through these newly baptized-in-the-Holy-Spirit believers!

It was impossible for all to come and testify of the healings they had just received in each meeting, but there were a total of one-hundred and twelve who did come to excitedly testify of the remarkable manifestations of God’s healing power they had received.

There was a moving testimony of a man who had been paralyzed with a broken back as a result of a car accident nineteen years ago. He walked with crutches and his legs were badly malformed and he could not bend his knees. The excitement was overwhelming as after the power of God touched him, he could bend his knees and walk for the first time in nineteen years. Many were saying: “You have lit spiritual fires that are going to sweep across our nation. Our nation will never be the same.” We give God all of the glory for what He has done in the nation of Lebanon.

BIG BEAR LAKE

In early May, we launched the new Friday night School of the Holy Spirit meetings at our office auditorium here at Big Bear Lake with a team from The Gathering @ Corona, a powerful church pastored by Ken Peters. Joyce and I have felt such a kinship with this body of believers where we have been attending and frequently ministering on Sundays.

Now plans are underway to launch a new church,

The Gathering @Big Bear.

We are excited about this step forward believing God for a mighty move of God among all the believers and churches and a fresh harvest of souls here at Big Bear Lake. Please join us in prayer for the planting of this new church under our apostolic leadership.

ON TO TURKEY & ITALY

On the first of January, our website had been “hacked” and shut down by a radical Islamic group in Turkey. The Turkish flag was flying and militant Islamic music was playing. Faced with the loss of many years of work with hundreds of pages on our website, instead of panic, Joyce and I began to laugh, taking joyfully the spoiling of our goods (Hebrews 10:34). Knowing they had opened a way to attack us, we began to use that same way to send blessings back to them. Our website had been backed-up by our web-provider every day so it was only down for four days. We lost about  thirty-two thousand hits in those four days, and we are claiming Proverbs 6:30, 31. We are commanding the thief to repay sevenfold! We are claiming a quarter of a million souls in the Islamic world for the Kingdom of God.

In just a few days, we were invited to come and minister in Turkey by the couple who are the ISOM Regional Coordinators in that nation. It is awesome as we are experiencing as many as fifty-thousand hits a day on our website many of whom are downloading our manuals, video and audio teachings free of charge.

WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS

We ask for your prayers during the next six weeks (August 29 – October 5) as we minister in Turkey, Italy and New Hampshire. In Italy we will be helping to launch a new ISOM training center together with our spiritual son and daughter, Phil and Lydia Cannavo, who are the ISOM Regional Coordinators in Italy. We will also be ministering in other churches and teaching for a week from our newly translated manual, The Authority of the Believer, in the Italian language at the Cannavo’s new church in Messina, Italy.

We ask for your continued prayers and sacrificial giving as we keep launching out into new territories for the Kingdom of God.
